Role: Systems Engineer
Location: Remote
Type of Engagement: Long term Contract
Schedule: US Timezone – EST

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure environments, including virtual machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), identity management, and security services.
• Lead migrations from on-premises or other platforms (e.g., Google Workspace) to Microsoft 365.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SharePoint Online, Teams, and Teams Phones.
• Implement and manage SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) solutions tailored for SMBs.
• Migrate file servers to SharePoint Online and develop automation workflows using Power Automate.
• Configure and integrate third-party SaaS applications with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other M365 tools.
• Configure and manage Intune for both Windows and Apple devices, including policies, compliance, and application deployments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Implement and maintain enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, Veeam).
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvements

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

Proven expertise with:

• Azure services (VMs, AVD/VDI, Azure AD, security, networking, identity).
• VDI solutions and cloud-based virtual desktop management.
• Firewall configuration, network design, and troubleshooting in SMB and Azure based environments.
• VPNs, SD-WAN, and private internet configuration.
• Microsoft 365 administration (SharePoint Online, Teams, Teams Phones, Power Platform).
• Scripting & automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Enterprise backup solutions (Azure Backup, Veeam, etc.).
• Intune management for PC and Apple devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within deadlines

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Advanced Azure (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, App Services).
• Experience with Microsoft Viva and advanced M365 tools.
• Experience with Power Apps or other low-code/no-code development platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and frameworks (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, SIEM solutions).
• Experience with SaaS tools used in MSP environments (e.g., HubSpot integrations, PSA or RMM automation).
• Relevant certifications such as:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools such as HaloPSA, Ninja RMM, Intune, or Addigy
